How to tag and filter tracks in your Serato library

To tag tracks in a Serato library, use Crativity: give tracks Finder-style color tags, then filter by a tag to find them again. The tags are kept in Crativity, not in your music files.

Steps

  1. Plan your tags. Choose what each color means to you, such as energy, set position or mood, and keep the list short.
  2. Add color tags. Pick one or more tracks and add a color tag. Tag tracks, Finder-style, in 20 colors, then filter by tag. Tags stay in Crativity and are never written into your music files.
  3. Filter by tag. When you build a set, filter by a tag to see only the tracks that carry it.
  4. Bring in tags you already have. Start from the tags you made in other cflo inc. apps. Bring in tags from Stemverter 4 and 3vise.

Questions

No, your files stay as they are. Tags stay in Crativity and are never written into your music files.

Can I use tags from my other cflo inc. apps?

Bring in tags from Stemverter 4 and 3vise.

Are Crativity tags the same as Serato track colors?

No, they are separate. A Crativity tag does not change the color Serato DJ Pro shows for a track.
