How to use Serato Smart Crates with Crativity
A smart crate fills itself from rules instead of from tracks you add by hand. Crativity shows the Smart Crates you made in Serato DJ Pro, lets you change their rules or start new ones, and can build smart crates of its own.
Steps
- Find your Serato Smart Crates. Open Crativity and find the Smart Crates you already made in Serato DJ Pro. See your Serato Smart Crates and their rules, and build your own rule-based smart crates in Crativity.
- Decide what the crate should collect. Write down what you want the smart crate to gather, so its rules stay simple and the result is easy to check.
- Change the rules. To change what a Serato Smart Crate collects, open it and change its rules. Edit Serato Smart Crate rules right in Crativity. Every change asks before it writes, and you can undo it.
- Start a new smart crate. When no crate fits, start a new one. Make a new Serato Smart Crate. Serato DJ Pro fills it the next time it opens. You can also build a rule-based smart crate that stays in Crativity.
- Check what it collected. Look through the tracks it picked up, and listen to any you are unsure of. Preview tracks right in the window.
