Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to run Crativity?+

Requires macOS 12 or later and a Serato DJ Pro 3 library in your Music folder.

How many Macs can I use?+

One license activates Crativity on one Mac.

Is Crativity made by Serato?+

No. Crativity is made by cflo inc. and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Serato. Serato and Serato DJ Pro are trademarks of their respective owners.

Does Crativity delete or change my music files?+

Crativity never deletes your music files. It writes to a file when you edit its track details or color or run a Script, and moves a file when you use a move folder or move your iTunes library's files. Tags stay in Crativity and are never written into your music files.

Can I use Crativity while Serato DJ Pro is open?+

Crativity locks while Serato DJ Pro is open, and opens your library again when Serato quits.

Does Crativity work with AI assistants?+

Yes. Crativity works with Claude and other AI assistants over MCP. They see what you see and ask before making changes.

What data does Crativity collect?+

Crativity sends anonymous usage data by default. You can turn it off in Settings. It counts library size and the kinds of changes you make, never names, titles or file paths. Tags and Crativity's own data stay on your Mac.
